Through events like 'Fat Con,' 'Fatlesque Fest Northwest,' and 'What the Funk?!,' Mx. Pucks A'Plenty leads resilient initiatives that turn obstacles into celebrations, spreading joy and defiance while uplifting marginalized voices across the Pacific Northwest.
Hello! I’m Mx. Pucks A'Plenty, the executive director and founder of Puckduction.
As a Black, Fat, Queer, Nonbinary and Femme artist, my journey has been about turning marginalized experiences into joyous celebrations through burlesque and cultural events. Nicknamed the 'Michelle Obama of Burlesque' and 'Seattle's Own Mxtress of Thiccness,' my work is deeply rooted in advocacy for BIPOC Liberation, Fat Liberation, and the power of radical self-love. Over the years, I’ve organized solo productions, co-productions, and festivals across the Puget Sound region, including the pioneering 'What the Funk?!'—an all-BIPOC burlesque festival, now in its seventh year. I’m also the founder of 'Fat Con' and 'Fatlesque Fest Northwest,' celebrating fat, trans, and nonbinary performers while standing resilient against backlash.
When I’m not directing productions or teaching burlesque basics through Seattle’s only BIPOC and Fat Liberation-focused school, you’ll find me on stages up and down the PNW and beyond, spreading black queer magic, and joy as an act of rebellion.
