About Event

2 hour session (booking will show as 1 hour, as the second hour is part of the Rec Play session) Learn a new sport that is fun and inclusive, at a club with a great sense of camaraderie, fair play and friendship - experience an intro to pickleball with Park Pickleball!

This intro is essential for anyone wanting to start pickleball, whether you're experienced at other racquet sports or whether this is your first time doing a racquet sport since school!

Our intro to pickleball sessions are 2 hours. The first hour is personal instruction in a very small group, followed by an hour of recreational play to consolidate your new knowledge and meet existing club members.

By the end of the session, you will have the basic knowledge to be able to join the club and attend our regular recreational play sessions. You will NOT be expected to remember all of the information you are given, but it will at least be familiar to you, enabling you to join in and have fun!
PLEASE NOTE - IN GENERAL, YOU ONLY NEED TO ATTEND ONE INTRO SESSION BEFORE BECOMING A MEMBER and joining in with Recreational Play session.

    Club Member, Chorlton Pickleball

I joined the club as part of my recovery after breaking my pelvis, and it’s been absolutely incredible. It’s really well organised and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes it easy to feel part of things straight away. Playing has not only helped me regain strength and improve my mobility, but it’s also been great fun — it doesn’t matter how well you play. I’ve met lots of wonderful people, the ethos is fantastic, it’s affordable, and all the equipment is provided, so you just need to bring yourself. I can’t recommend it enough!

  • About us

    Hi, I’m Amina Kasar 👋

I’m the Director of Park Pickleball Ltd which I started in July 2024 as Chorlton Pickleball. In June 2026 we renamed to Park Pickleball Ltd to mark the start of a new endeavour at Wythenshawe Park.

I and my lovely team of experienced pickleball players deliver high quality Recreational Play sessions for members and guests who already know how to play, and intro sessions for those new to the game. Please look at the events available to find and book an appropriate session for you.

From our base in South Manchester, UK, I focus on setting strategic direction and ensuring strong operational governance—so our programs aren’t just enjoyable in the moment, but sustainable, well-run, and trusted by the community. My responsibility is to keep our standards high across delivery: from how sessions are run and events are managed, to how we support volunteers/coordinators who ensure our sessions are fun on court.

What energizes me is building pickleball experiences that are genuinely inclusive—welcoming adult beginners and competitive players, and providing a fun environment for each group so that they can improve. I care about the details that players feel immediately: safe, well-maintained courts; reliable scheduling; fair formats in leagues; and a culture where people can compete and still feel connected. I also keep an eye on the business fundamentals—monitoring revenue and expenses and making decisions that support long-term growth—because community activities thrive when operations are disciplined and consistent.

Outside of the director role, I’m a believer in pickleball’s power to bring people together quickly; it’s one of the rare sports where you can meet new people and feel part of something on day one. When I’m not thinking about the next club development or doubles league, I’m developing my skills as a European Pickleball ref, honing my karate skills on the dojo, helping patients in my role as an NHS Neuro Physio, and having fun with my young family. I occasionally even get to sit down with a cup of redbush tea! ☕
