We're Sarah and Maddox Wheeler, co-founders of HuVia Technologies and InterpretReflect.
Sarah is a CODA who has been interpreting for over 20 years across medical, legal, educational, and VRS settings. She still works night shifts at Purple Communications. She created the ECCI Model , the first research framework designed specifically for interpreter performance, drawing on her background in interpreter pedagogy, psychology, and neuroscience. She has watched too many brilliant interpreters burn out because the systems never acknowledged the real cost of the work.
Maddox grew up with Deaf grandparents and architected the InterpretReflect platform, with 26 credential tracks, an AI coaching companion that learns your style, a real-time CEU pipeline, and the technology infrastructure that makes invisible labor visible and measurable.
Together we built InterpretReflect because interpreters deserve more than weekend workshops and good intentions. This is a performance system, grounded in neuroscience, powered by AI, and built by people who have lived this work their entire lives.
Let's have a conversation about what's really happening with burnout and performance, whether you're an interpreter looking to stay sharp, an agency managing retention, or a state system supporting quality. We'll walk through how InterpretReflect addresses those challenges in your context, show you the practical tools, and be straight with you about what implementation looks like and what it costs.
